@Jeepjones85 Yes I’d say it’s easier to use.

@Extremevideopro well I commented last month on your video lol but I ended up going with the hd500 and I played it for a month or so then sold it because I felt it was just to complicated, I know that’s strange since I had a x3 live before, I guess I was just used to it. Anyway is the hd400 easer to use on the fly then the hd500? Thanks

Great video ! I think I’m going to go with this unit ! I have the x3 live but if this unit is everything I’ve been hearing it will be great

Your feeling on the intro make me cry.

@bonz0416 Not sure about the 300 but I know there are certain effects in the 400 that can be controlled by the expression pedal but not all.

  8. bonz0416 on February 21st, 2012

can thisunit and the hd 300 can control the effects using the expression pedal? i mean those time based effects? or its just a wah and a volume?

Hey Glenn…I liked your sound. Thanks for this video. I purchased POD HD400 recently and updated the firmware as well. I downloaded some patches from CustomTones and loaded those to my PHD but these downloaded patches sound louder than any other factory preset. Moreover, I can’t hear most of the factory presets clearly even when my Amp volume level is way up. Please help me sort this out.

@SPeedYsingapore Yes Bruce you are correct. 24sec. not 48sec. The HD500 has the 48sec. looper.

  11. SPeedYsingapore on February 21st, 2012

Hey Glenn my man, the video’s superb as usual, but if I remember it correctly, this unit hear has a 24s looper instead of 48s :)

Use that title, brother, & keep the tunes coming our way!

  13. extremevideopro on February 21st, 2012

@jst601 You’re welcome. Yes good title to a song. may I use it??

  14. jst601 on February 21st, 2012

Thanks for this video, Glenn. I purchased an HD400 this week, mainly because of this wonderful to-the-point video. Great tones, great playing. Well done. How about “The Price of Love” as a name for the opening song? For some reason that name came to me when I heard it the first time. Thanks again for this great video, brother. Looking forward to your music!

@eoltorr I have not named this song. It is my work and I just created it for this video.

  16. eoltorr on February 21st, 2012

how is the name of the song????

  17. Tuscopa on February 21st, 2012

@extremevideopro Ok. Thanks for the info. I´ve taken a look at the manuals and haven´t figure out the diferences, but I guess I´m going to look into it a bit deeper. Thanks again.

  18. extremevideopro on February 21st, 2012

@Tuscopa What you are talking about can be done with the HD500 but not the 300 or 400. It’s the way the buttons are assignable.

  19. Tuscopa on February 21st, 2012

Kind of, using the rhythm channel on the amp and-on it- “call” a preset wich woul had chorus and delay for example. And then if i wanted to get back to may rhythm channel “alone” whithout the preset effects I would undo the preset “call” on the pedalboard. Kind of pedalboard mode, but in preset mode. I believe this is not possible. Im my mind this units are lacking that aspect for what i need.
    Thanks for the info.

@extremevideopro Thansk for the quick reply. it´s something among that line what i´m looking for. But probably I´m having dificulties in explaining all of the concept. I do know this units are unable to work as channel changers on the “real” amp. But, as my main goal is to use the real amps clean and rhythm channels, I would like to use the unit so to had effects to each of its amp channels.

  21. extremevideopro on February 21st, 2012

@Tuscopa If i understand you correctly you want to bypass the amps but still be able to use the presets? yes you can do that but it would have to saved on each preset.

  22. Tuscopa on February 21st, 2012

Are we able to bypass the amps on the unit and run the it using only presets. But in this way: using the real amp channels and then, if we want, ading a preset on or off if needed(not talking about manual-stompbox-mode)? That is what i´m looking for in a unit more than anything.
Thanks for any info on that.
