The snare throw offs are as cheap as you can get. All of them I tried on the maple drums loosen up and fail. Cheap quality.
Not very easy to do in 2008. I agree with your sentiment…but not easy unless you’re loaded.
Taiwan’s daily and hourly minimum wages are calculated based on the monthly wage. A laborer is paid at least US$487 a month, which, when divided into eight hours a day and 30 days a month, leads to a daily minimum wage of US$16 or around US $2 per hour.
According to a March 22 08′ report in the Economic Daily News, Taiwan’s min wage was 36.3% of an average laborer’s wage. This trailed France’s 66.4% and Canada’s 39.4%, but topped South Korea’s 27 percent and 32% in the U.S.
Buy American!
I have a Royal Custom Brass snare, too. Its a keeper in my collection. I was originally looking for Gretsch. No regrets.
Its not Chinese slave labor. Its Taiwanese labor. Freedon loving and fearing mainland Chinese desire to run them over. Get your facts right!
ugly paint job…cornered identity
I own a Cadeson Royal Custom Brass snare. To me it compares with a Nobel and Cooley snare. But thats only my opinion.
