Digitech Vocalist Live

With the advancement in music technology nowadays, we can achieve almost everything that would normally require a team or a group of people. Especially when playing solo, we are spoilt for choices. You have keyboards as well as drum machines to help you in live or recording situations. Ever heard of the term “clone ensemble” or “vocal ensemble”?. These are hardware or software based vocal processor that gives you either a duplicate group voices or creating vocal harmonies.

Check out this new product from DigiTech called the Vocalist Live, made specially for guitarists. They have 3 models named Vocalist Live2,4 and Pro. The numbers represents the number of vocal harmony it produced. As for the Pro, it is based on the Vocalist Live4 with an additional keyboard input and some extras like MIDI connectivity and whole other inputs.

Digitech Vocalist LiveFrom my humble opinion, this would be one swell unit to have in your arsenal of collections. It’s almost like plug and play. No extra messy wires, PC connection whatsoever. The harmony is accurate. Too accurate actually. It does sound fantastic but I still personally feel that if there’s a way to control the harmony’s delay like a few milliseconds, that may do the trick to make it not sound too mechanically right (if you know what I’m saying)

Anyway, check out the video below and see for yourself. I still love it and would love to own one too!
