Fender G-DEC Exec amplifier. Your ultimate guitar practice amp..and more

Heard of Fender? Well if you are into cars then yeah you might be talking about some rear bumper or something. But for all guitarists good or bad (I’m the latter) would definitely know what we are talking about. The American guitar brand that has people like Jimmy Hendrix to Yngwie J. Malmsteen who has great association with that guitar. My first electric guitar is a Fender Stratocaster by the way. Mexican made. Boy does that guitar wants to be played everytime you pick it up.

Anyway, besides producing guitars, Fender is also famous for their legendary Twin Reverb or the Black Panel models. Of course they also have been inline with technology too. Check out the G-DEC amplifiers from Fender. Especially the Exec series. They are portable, jam packed with great functions and settings you may end up staying in your room playing your guitar thru this nifty little beast for 5 days without food. Here’s some exerpt from the Fender website itself:

The G-DEC (Guitar Digital Entertainment Center), a unique and fun practice amp/songwriting tool ideal for beginners and experienced musicians alike, boasts more features than most full-size amps, all in one small, easily portable package. You get digital recreations of 17 classic amp types, 29 effects, 10 reverbs, a tuner and many more parameters great for designing and saving your own sounds (or just choose from the 50 cool presets).

The 15-watt G-DEC has as much digital power as our Cyber-Series amps, so practice along with onboard MIDI drum loops and bass lines in many styles and speeds, create your own guitar loops with the Internal Phrase Sampler, stream MIDI files from your PC and use the auxiliary input and filters to zero in on different instruments in any song from your mp3 or CD player. It’s a blast!

The video shows Eric Johnson checking out the amp and creating his signature sound just from the amp. Stop drooling. Go check em out at Fender.com. Yummy!
