This is the best multi I’ve ever owner, put it straight into a clean Fender valve amp and you have everything you need.
One thing I would say though is like with all these things you need to go easy on the gain to avoid compression and to let the guitars tone shine through.
Rob you mights as well of being playing a squire strat instead of a Suhr!
Only joking, I know you are only trying to demo the thing, it really is great when the gain is lowered though, top unit and thanks for the great video

Thinking about buying one of these, I normally play in drop c or b tuning, so bands like August Burns Red, Parkway Drive, All That Remains and so on. Do you think this would be a good buy for me? You played some “old rock” or “old metal” in your video, just curious as to how much it compliments the new “metalcore” type of genre.
Also this next question is a bit silly, but does this plug into your amp or your powerpoint?
    Thanks ^_^

oh nice i’m going to Sweden this summer with a friend!! and thanx man i’ll look into them they sound amazing

  8. rotren on October 3rd, 2011

@zaoribah It depends on what individual pedals you compare to. I do think you can get really great tone from the M9, including overdrive and distortion. I’m not sure about the fuzz in it, can’t decide if I really like it yet….

@sblopez08 Thanks, I’m from Sweden and the pickups are Suhr V60 LP. Great pickups.

  10. sblopez08 on October 3rd, 2011

and i’ve been looking for some replacement pickups on my strat, what kind are you using? i really like your tone

  11. sblopez08 on October 3rd, 2011

    where is your accent from?

  12. NHBluesMan on October 3rd, 2011

@rockguitar22 just the push of a button to go from clean to distortion… unless you’re using an amps distortion channel in addition to the M9

  13. NHBluesMan on October 3rd, 2011

@toninholopes14 They’re $400 new, but considering you get over 100 effects and a 28 second looper, plus abunch of other features, thats really not that bad.

You can find them on ebay for around $300 sometimes too

  14. toninholopes14 on October 3rd, 2011

    how much?

  15. zaoribah on October 3rd, 2011

Rob, i really like your sound through the mack(18 watt especially) amp direct.Would you really compare sound and feel of the M9 to individual drive stomp boxes?.These processers always sound and feel thin /compressed and sucking the life and definition from my amp.Like your amp is there but its not there.

  16. gwugluud on October 3rd, 2011

I think I’ll get an m9 or m13 and use my real amps only instead of my xtlive. Their amps sound real but there’s always a thinness compared to my JCM600 or my 6505. Another weird thing about Line 6 sims is you have to keep dialing them in, then the sound jumps out at u. B4 that happens the amp sound is 2-dimensional and bland, but then SUDDENLY the sim sounds like the real amp. But u can lose it again!

  19. CardinalPride540 on October 3rd, 2011

i have the line 6 spider 3 amp, and im having problems getting a good distortion tone with the m9 (too fuzzy and thick) any suggestions?

  20. radomu1 on October 3rd, 2011

I want a ZOOM G2.1nu, but maybe I should save some money and get this instead. it’s sounds far superior

  21. rockguitar22 on October 3rd, 2011

can you switch easily from clean to distortion?

  22. rotren on October 3rd, 2011

@rockpwnsu Great, all my Line 6 gear sounds great and no reliability issues.

  23. rockpwnsu on October 3rd, 2011

rob how is line 6 products treating you overall?

  24. caincolesr on October 3rd, 2011

Let me go to A pawnshop and buy A piece of crap amp and give it to this guy and Ill bet he can plug in that guitar with the tone built into his fingertips and you will all want to go and buy it.But it does sound very good to me. Technology is gaining ground rapidly.
