  2. jesterraj on March 7th, 2010

do i turn the level knob all the way up to max?

  3. extremevideopro on March 7th, 2010

you know my tone has alot to do with my fingers, unorthodox playing style and the type of pick I use. It’s a heavy piece of plastic. Also the guitar has alot to do with it. I know you have a good guitar but it’s not exactly like my Mockingbird so there will be variations in the sound. You will just have to adjust to your setup.

  5. extremevideopro on March 7th, 2010

sounds like you are overloading the signal or you have the output mode set wrong. Set the output mode to “studio/direct”

    Great vid!!

Do you know the difference between the pod x3 live and boss GT 10,i have a hard time figuring out what to buy..?

  8. extremevideopro on March 7th, 2010

Yes you will need an amp if you want to hear the sound through a cabinet. Or you can go directly into the PA or computer which is what these things were really designed for.

@extremevideopro Im a newbie to multieffect processors. I imagine you have to connect this to a cabinet speaker? Or do I need an amp?

I need your help, I have posted a comment on your X3 Live – Vai Tone video. Waiting for your reply. Thank you.

It should sound good depending on how you set the X3L output mode.

I just got a Roland JC120. I want to use the pod x3 live with it. I’m thinking it would work well since the JC120 is such a great clean amp. What do you think?

  13. extremevideopro on March 7th, 2010

Yes you can connect it to your amp too.

  14. XxboVodxX on March 7th, 2010

does the pod x3 live connect to the computer or to your amp? cause i know the pod x3 connects to the computer, but the idk about the x3 live..

  15. extremevideopro on March 7th, 2010

You can try the X3 with your Bogner. Make sure you have the output settings set right on the X3. Set it to combo front or something like that.

  16. nathan24345 on March 7th, 2010

do you know of any amp (regular or tube) that would sound good with the x3 because i really want the x3

  17. extremevideopro on March 7th, 2010

No the X3 doesn’t come with drum loops but you can create your drum loops and play them through the aux input of the X3 and jam along.

  18. MetalPower86 on March 7th, 2010

yeah im getting the 75 watt spider IV this upcoming tuesday, then I want to get the x-pod for recording, are there drum loops on this? or can I create a drum loop with a seperate program like FLStudio and incorporate it with my guitar work? any more info on the line 6 pod x3 would be greatly appreciated

  19. extremevideopro on March 7th, 2010

That’s a great amp!! You would be better off with the Line6 M-13 or the M-9 or even traditional individual pedals with that amp.

  20. nathan24345 on March 7th, 2010

what if i played the x3 live with an amp like the bogner alchemist (clean channel) with the four cable method, would it still sound bad?

  21. extremevideopro on March 7th, 2010

Oh it’s great for direct recording.

  22. MetalPower86 on March 7th, 2010

yeah but I want to use the pod x3 for recording

  23. extremevideopro on March 7th, 2010

Well, I had the hardest time making it sound good with my amp. I finally did it but it took a long time before I figured out how to do it. It shouldn’t be like that you know. If you spend too much time tweaking your sound you are loosing out on quality practice time!!

  24. nathan24345 on March 7th, 2010

everybody is saying how bad the x3 sounds with tube amps, how does it even sound?

  25. extremevideopro on March 7th, 2010

Isn’t the Spider iV a modeling amp??

  26. Shaghayegh on June 18th, 2010
