Stu Hamm live in Malaysia 2009
Two Saturdays ago, me and my buddy had the most awesome opportunity to meet a Bass guitar Legend, Stu Hamm. A person who is associated with names like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and the G3 concerts, this is something that I will never forget. He was here for a Bass guitar clinic as well as endorsement of the Hartke Bass amps that he uses. Did I mention he uses Zoom effects?
This clinic was made possible through CK Music of Kuala Lumpur. My buddy Jaya of Polar Attraction hada chance to jam with Stu on stage. It was great! I just can’t have enough!!!

Hamm has performed and recorded with Steve Vai, Frank Gambale, Joe Satriani and many other well-respected guitarists. It was playing live on tour with Satriani that brought Hamm’s skills to national attention. Subsequent recordings with Satriani and other rock/fusion artists along with the release of his own solo recordings solidified his reputation as a bassist and performer.
