Sometimes just because an album was the hit for the year, that does not mean the artist is making more money than the rest. The real deal comes from tours, endorsements, special deals, merchandise etc. More and more artists are also going for Las Vegas. Two of 2006 top earners, Celine Dion and Elton John, made huge money from contracts for residencies at Las Vegas casinos.
