Wow, still debating about getting one of these, but this video has helped me get closer to a decision. You really got a great sound out of that thing!

Great video! I use the Variax on my new song ‘home’ check it out on my channel for sounds of a Gibson Les Paul Special and a Gibson SJ200 acoustic. Please leave a comment on it!

@SamthePetrolhead its g harmonic minor kind of like a pentatonic but with 2 more notes :)

  7. SamthePetrolhead on May 1st, 2011

    Is that G minor pentatonic?

    @YourGuitarPlace

I agree, its easy to make anything sound bad when its not used properly ;-)

I use a PodXT Live (an earlier version of your floorboard) using the digital (Ethernet) sockets from a Variax which means I can switch guitars from the pedalboard’s footswitches as well as Amp, Speaker and FX models

It can also work as a USB soundcard for a PC/Mac, if anyone is interested ;-)

    Great playing BTW ;-)

    Peace …

not bad, not bad at all!!! you wouldn’t look bad on stage performings this song. nice bending and great tone. i added a video reaction, wondering why it couldn’t be added along with the comments? maybe my bad? anyway, great performance.

@SstalkerS The pickup is in the bridge, it’s kind of a piezo PU

  14. SstalkerS on May 1st, 2011

Don’t get it, how can a guitar have no pickups?

  15. ProfessorWonder on May 1st, 2011

I didn’t know giants played guitar.

@jefersonmatos Right now I am using the POD X3 patches in direct line mode plugged into the return of a Marshall tube head and 4 X 12 cabinet. It sounds really great! I think it can sound bad when you plug it direct to the amps input. Thanks for the comment!

Thank you for making your POD patches available! Had trouble making the Shine on you work with my Pod XT Live. Can I trouble you just share which amp model you are using? My XT Live is fully expanded so I should have all the same models as in your X3. Thank you so much.

Really really really great tone and performance…. I was trying to look to your face and see if it was not David Gilmour… lol

I´m to buy an X3 Live, but I´m afraid of people saying the sound quality is terrible on the stage, when you plug it into an amp. And it also happens when you try to make it sound loud (in amp or direct in line) on live situations of concerts… Is it true?

  22. DuckFarmStudios on May 1st, 2011

Incredible sound – you nailed the tone!!! Can you share your X3 settings? I have a POD XT Live but it is loaded and should have all the same models and effects available on the X3. Which amp model? Thank you much!!!!

  23. fanzappa on May 1st, 2011

@TwentyfourFrets you are on a computer. look it up. don’t show your ignorance.

  24. blaness13 on May 1st, 2011

@LordInksworth it works with i’m assuming opticle pick ups that since the way the strings move, and that is sent to the small computer basicly in the guitar that you can edit, you can make sound like a strat or a les paul or what ever, then that gets sent to the x3 live processor that does all the effects, amazing really but, in that entire thing theres is no need for any conventional guitar equipment that you need except for picks and maybe a speaker cab but thats it every thing is similate
